EMA: Hot, humid weather expected, with Cairo’s high reaching 35°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects hot and humid weather to prevail over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts, while extremely hot conditions will dominate the southern regions of the country. At night, the weather will remain warm and humid across most areas.

The authority stated that the country will experience morning fog during the early hours on several roads leading to and from the northern regions, including Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. In some areas, the fog may occasionally be dense.

The EMA also predicted slight chances of light rainfall over the northwestern coasts and northern Nile Delta at intermittent intervals, along with wind activity occurring across most parts of the country.

Regarding the condition of the Mediterranean Sea, the authority clarified that it will be moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2 meters, accompanied by northwesterly winds. The condition of the Red Sea will be moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2.25 meters and northwesterly winds.

Concerning the Gulf of Suez, conditions will range from moderate to turbulent, with wave heights between 2 and 3 meters and northwesterly winds.

Meteorologists predict that Cairo will see highs of 35°C and lows of 24°C.
