The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has announced the opening of the appeals process for General Secondary Education (Thanaweya Amma) students who believe they were adversely affected by their first-round examination results for the 2025/2026 academic year. Appeals begin today, Thursday, July 30, 2026, and will continue for two weeks, until Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The Ministry explained that the procedures, regulations, and mechanisms for submitting appeals are as follows:
First: Steps for Submitting an Appeal
The appeal period begins on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Students must pay a fee of EGP 300 (three hundred Egyptian pounds) for each subject they wish to appeal.
The fee must be paid through one of the Ministry's approved payment channels:
Egyptian Post
Fawry
eFinance
Payments are made to the Educational Projects Support and Financing Fund.
Second: Procedures During the Appeal Process
The student must attend the appeal session alone or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Subject teachers are not permitted to attend.
Students must attend at the scheduled appointment. Those who fail to attend will not be allowed to submit another appeal request.
Students must present a clear photocopy of their national ID card, along with a photocopy of the parent or guardian's national ID card.
Students will be allowed to review:
A copy of their bubble sheet (multiple-choice answer sheet),
Their essay-answer sheet, and
The official answer key.
Students may review their answers, calculate their scores according to the official marking scheme, and record any observations in the designated section.
Third: Procedures After Review by the Technical Committees
If the student's score is revised, the student will be notified of the appeal result and the appeal fee will be refunded.
Any approved score increases must be authorized by the Chief Examination Officer or the Deputy Chief Examination Officer.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education will notify the Ministry of Higher Education (University Admissions Coordination Office) of the student's revised results after any approved changes.
