The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to witness a rise in temperatures across most parts of the country.
The Authority explained that the weather will be moderately hot and humid in the early morning, turning very hot and humid during the day in most areas, while the northern coasts will experience hot and humid conditions. Temperatures will become moderately hot and humid at night.
Meteorological reports indicated that high humidity levels will continue, increasing the feeling of heat by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius above the actual temperatures in shaded areas.
Regarding expected weather phenomena, the Authority stated that morning mist will form from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, the northern coasts, Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, and may sometimes become dense.
Winds will be active intermittently across most areas, helping to improve conditions at night. However, they may stir up sand and dust in parts of the northwestern coasts, the Western Desert, northern and southern Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea Governorate.
Low clouds will appear in scattered areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo, with a low chance of light drizzle that will not have a significant impact in some areas.
Temperatures expected today in Cairo: a high of 38°C and a low of 26°C.
