The Ministry of Health and Population has announced the launch of the fourth edition of the "100 Youm Se7a" campaign across all governorates of Egypt, beginning August 1. The campaign continues the state's efforts to improve public health as part of the President of the Republic's public health initiatives and is being held under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population.
This year's campaign is being launched under the slogan "The Year of the Patient's Voice and Patient Support," reaffirming the Ministry's commitment to improving the quality of healthcare services and placing patients' needs and experiences at the center of the healthcare system.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the campaign is based on a comprehensive vision centered on community partnerships and cooperation among various government sectors. Its goal is to provide high-quality, free healthcare services across all governorates, with a strong focus on prevention, early detection, treatment, and enhancing the patient experience. The campaign also aims to ensure healthcare services reach the most vulnerable populations while improving beneficiary satisfaction.
He added that the campaign includes the President's public health initiatives, such as: (The Egyptian Women's Health Initiative for early breast cancer screening for women aged 18 and above - Early detection and treatment of hearing impairment and hearing loss in newborns - Maternal and fetal health services - Premarital health screening - Early detection and treatment of cancers, including lung, colorectal, prostate, and cervical cancer - Diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases and early detection of kidney disease - The "Se7tak Sa3ada" initiative and autism spectrum disorder screening for children - Healthcare services for older adults - Health awareness and education programs).
Together, these services form a comprehensive national healthcare model built on prevention, early detection, treatment, and follow-up care.
The Ministry will also continue providing integrated healthcare services through coordination among its various sectors, including hospitals, primary healthcare units, and family medicine centers. Services include state-funded treatment decisions, reducing surgical waiting lists, diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, physical therapy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions, mental health services, medical licensing services, blood bag dispensing, and the digitization of medical documentation to simplify procedures.
In addition, the campaign incorporates services under "El-Alf Youm El Zahabeya" Initiative for improving Egyptian family health, as well as essential primary healthcare services, including childhood immunizations, maternal and child healthcare, infant formula distribution, preventive medicine, environmental surveillance, rural health outreach services, and emergency medical services. These efforts are aimed at ensuring equitable access to high-quality healthcare.
The campaign follows an integrated operational approach designed to deliver healthcare services efficiently and effectively to citizens nationwide. Services will be available through health units and medical centers, while mobile medical convoys and mobile clinics will be deployed to public gathering places—including sports clubs, youth centers, public parks, and government ministry headquarters in the New Administrative Capital—to expand access and maximize public benefit.
