Cairo Gov. oversees demolition of illegal building on Moasaset el-Zakat Street

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber oversaw the demolition of an unauthorized building on Moasaset el-Zakat Street. The building's owner violated construction regulations by constructing a structure that spans approximately 700 m² with a height of 12 floors.

Governor Saber urged citizens not to engage with any unauthorized building without first consulting the district authorities to verify permits to protect their assets.

The governor also warned violators that there will be zero tolerance for construction violations, no matter their size or location, and said all illegal buildings will be removed without exception to enforce the law and uphold state authority.

Saber added that a survey of remaining violations is underway for prompt demolition and urged citizens to report suspected illegal construction via the Cairo Governorate's central hotlines: 15496 and 114.

The governor further said that daily inspection campaigns will be intensified to detect and remove violations at an early stage. He also ordered to take the necessary legal measures against violators. The governor added that the governorate's authorities are working around the clock to prevent any attempts at illegal construction, preserve the city's urban harmony, and achieve urban discipline across all districts of the capital.
