The Egyptian southern Eastern Desert at intermittent intervals. Winds are forecast to be active across most parts of the country and may Meteorological Authority has announced that the temporary drop in temperatures will continue on Monday, July 27, 2026, across parts of northern Egypt, extending to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, while extremely hot conditions persist in the southern regions of the country.
According to the Authority, the weather will be warm and humid during the early morning hours, becoming hot and humid during the day across northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo. Southern Egypt will experience very hot and humid conditions, while warm and humid weather is expected across most areas at night. High humidity levels are expected to make temperatures feel 2 to 4°C higher than the actual readings.
The Authority also forecast morning fog between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. over parts of northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. There is also a slight chance of low clouds forming over scattered areas of the northern coast, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and the Canal Cities, possibly accompanied by light, non-impactful drizzle.
In addition, light rain is expected in parts of Halaib and the far southern Eastern Desert at intermittent intervals. Winds are forecast to be active across most parts of the country and may stir up sand and dust, particularly in Halaib and the far southern Eastern Desert.
In Cairo, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 35°C and a low of 24°C.
