Cairo Governor says ‘Zero tolerance’ for construction violations

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber stated that the Cairo Governorate will have zero tolerance for any construction violations. He added that immediate and decisive action will be taken against all encroachments, in accordance with directives from the political leadership to uphold the rule of law, protect citizens' lives, and prevent unauthorized construction.

Moreover, the governor said that the executive authorities of the Marg district have started demolishing an illegal building on Moasaset Al-Zakat Street. The building's owner violated construction regulations by constructing a structure that spans approximately 700 m² with a height of 12 floors.

The governor further said that daily inspection campaigns will be intensified to detect and remove violations at an early stage. He also ordered to take the necessary legal measures against violators. The governor added that the governorate's authorities are working around the clock to prevent any attempts at illegal construction, preserve the city's urban harmony, and achieve urban discipline across all districts of the capital.
