Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber distributed 12 electric wheelchairs to several people of determination, in cooperation with a civil society organization. This initiative is part of the state’s efforts to empower individuals with special abilities, enhance the quality of services provided to them, and ensure support that enables them to live with dignity and independence.
Governor Saber stated that the state, under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, places great attention on people of determination, striving to meet their needs and provide comprehensive care and support. This contributes to their integration into society and offers them opportunities for active participation in various activities and fields, acknowledging their abilities and their vital role in the development process.
The governor further said the executive bodies in the governorate are committed to supporting activities for people of determination. They aim to create an environment that showcases their capabilities and talents across various sectors while also addressing any obstacles they may face, ensuring they enjoy their rights and live a normal life.
At the distribution ceremony, Saber commended the crucial contribution of civil society organizations and NGOs in supporting state efforts by partnering with executive bodies to carry out development projects, foster social solidarity, and deliver services and care to the most vulnerable groups, especially people of determination.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Mona El-Batrawi; Chairman of the Regional Union of Associations and Civil Organizations in Cairo Dr. Ezz El-Din Farghal; Executive Director of the “Khaleek Ma’ana” Foundation for awareness and integration of special cases into society Mohammad Abu Taleb; along with several officials from the Cairo Governorate.
