Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber conducted an inspection tour of the Sharq Madinat Nasr district to follow up on efforts to preserve the progress made in developing the El-Taba area in the 10th District. This visit comes after the establishment of the Amal civilized market and the relocation of street vendors to this new market.
During his tour, Governor Saber stated that the area's streets remained orderly and stressed the importance of preventing the recurrence of encroachments and street vendors. This is part of the governorate’s endeavors to preserve a civilized appearance. It also aims to improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
Saber further stated that preserving the outcomes of development projects is just as important as their implementation. He emphasized the need to intensify daily field inspection campaigns in the Taba area to ensure that no signs of disorder, encroachments, or street vendors reappear.
This directive aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's instructions to eliminate unregulated markets and establish fully integrated, organized markets that provide a suitable environment for both traders and citizens.
Moreover, Saber said that the state has successfully eliminated the phenomenon of street vendors in the Taba area by providing them with a more organized alternative in the Amal market, which is equipped with all necessary services to ensure the continuity of their activities, thus achieving order, preserving traffic flow, and maintaining the area's civilized appearance. He also said that the executive authorities will respond decisively to any attempts to return to illegal occupations, taking immediate legal action against violators.
The governor instructed the chief of Sharq Madinat Nasr district, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to intensify field inspection campaigns in the Taba area to preserve the achievements of recent developments and prevent the recurrence of encroachments and street vending. He emphasized the importance of promptly responding to citizens’ complaints and continuously improving the level of services and cleanliness in the area.
