The General Meteorological Authority revealed details of today’s weather conditions and expected atmospheric phenomena, Monday, August 31, 2026, noting a continued slight decrease in temperatures across most areas. The weather will be relatively hot in the early morning, hot and humid during the day in most areas, and extremely hot in southern Egypt. At night, temperatures will be relatively hot and humid.
The Meteorological Authority expects a slight chance of low clouds forming over scattered areas of Greater Cairo, southern Lower Egypt, and the Canal cities, which may be accompanied by light drizzle in some areas without significant impact.
The Authority also noted the presence of morning mist from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m., particularly along some roads leading to and from the northern parts of the country, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. The mist may be dense at times on some roads.
There is also a slight chance of light rain over parts of the Northern Coasts, northern Lower Egypt, and North Sinai at intermittent intervals.
Today’s temperatures in Cairo are expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 24°C.
