Cairo Governor affirms safety of building adjacent to Orman School in Marg

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, confirmed that the governorate's executive authorities responded immediately to a report concerning a suspected structural crack in a building located adjacent to Al-Orman School in the Ezbet El Bayda area of El Marg District.

The Governor explained that a specialized three-member engineering committee responsible for inspecting structurally unsafe buildings in the Eastern Region was dispatched to conduct an on-site inspection and technical assessment. The committee concluded that the building in question is structurally sound. It also confirmed that the neighboring building is safe and that the reported separation between the two buildings poses no risk to their structural integrity or to the safety of residents.

Dr. Saber added that, based on the engineering committee's technical report, residents were allowed to return to their homes after the safety of both buildings had been fully verified.

The Governor stressed that Cairo Governorate treats all reports concerning building safety with the utmost seriousness. Immediate action is taken in response to such reports, with all decisions based on the technical findings of the competent engineering committees to ensure the protection of citizens' lives and safety.
