Cairo Governor: Demolition of illegal building begins in Kafr El-Shorafa, Al-Marg district

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Cairo Governor, confirmed that the governorate’s executive authorities have begun demolishing an illegally constructed building located at the corner of Al-Betrol Street and Mostashfa Al-Zakat in the Kafr El-Shorafa area of Al-Marg District. This comes as part of the governorate’s ongoing efforts to address building violations and uphold the rule of law.

The Cairo Governor explained that the building was licensed to have a ground floor and four additional floors, covering an area of 620 square meters. However, 13 floors were constructed in violation of the building permit.

Dr. Ibrahim Saber stressed that the governorate’s authorities will not tolerate building violations, emphasizing that demolition campaigns will continue and that immediate action will be taken against any violations. He also stressed that the necessary legal measures will be taken against violators to protect citizens’ safety and curb the spread of illegal and unplanned construction.

The Cairo Governor also noted that district authorities are continuing field inspections and ongoing monitoring of building violations, while promptly taking legal action and implementing demolition orders. He emphasized that the law will be applied firmly and equally to everyone, without exception.
