The Egyptian Drug Authority has denied reports circulated by a local newspaper and several news websites claiming that it had issued a decision to abolish price labeling on pharmaceutical packages. The Authority stressed that these reports are false and have no basis in fact.
It emphasized that no statements or information should be considered official unless they are issued through its authorized communication channels, expressing regret that such reports were circulated without referring to the Authority's official sources.
The Egyptian Drug Authority explained that its official website, its verified social media accounts, and its official press releases are the only authorized sources that reflect its decisions and official activities.
The Authority also urged media outlets and the public to exercise accuracy and transparency, obtain information and news from reliable official sources, and avoid spreading or relying on rumors and misleading reports intended to create confusion.
