Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, held a meeting with the directors of the educational directorates in all governorates via video conference technology, in order to follow up on the final preparations for the high school completion certificate exams for the academic year 2025/2026, and to ensure the readiness of the examination committees, review the organizational and insurance procedures, and confirm the implementation of the instructions organizing the exams accurately.
This was attended by Dr. Ahmed El-Mohamady, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up and Supervisor of the Central Administration for the Minister's Office Affairs, Major General Yasser Salem, Assistant Minister for the Educational Buildings Authority Affairs, Mr. Khaled Abdel Hakam, Advisor to the Minister for Examinations Affairs and Supervisor of the Central Examinations Administration, and Mr. Ali Abdel Raouf, Head of the Central Administration for Educational Directorates Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif stressed that the high school exams represent a national responsibility that requires the combined efforts of all concerned parties participating in the exam system, and that the ministry will provide full support to the directors of educational directorates in making decisions that ensure the application of the law and achieving the highest levels of discipline within the committees, ensuring that the exams come out in an honorable manner that reflects the strength and efficiency of the Egyptian education system.
The Minister stressed that the state pays great attention to high school exams, and that the primary goal is to achieve the highest levels of discipline within the committees, stressing that any violation or negligence that may affect the regularity of the exams will not be tolerated.
The Minister also stressed the need to tighten inspection procedures before entering the committees and to prevent the bringing of mobile phones or any electronic means that could be attempted to be used for electronic cheating, stressing that eliminating any attempts to disrupt the examination system requires complete vigilance from all those in charge of the examination process, and the implementation of decisive procedures without any exceptions. The Minister also directed the directors of educational directorates to intensify follow-up work within the committees to ensure the discipline of the examination process.
In the context of organizing the movement of students entering examination complexes, which include a group of schools with more than one examination committee, the Minister stressed the need to allocate an independent section for each committee to enter and exit, which would contribute to facilitating the entry of students and facilitating inspection procedures.
The Minister also directed the importance of emptying the committees immediately after the end of the exam and not allowing any student to remain inside the committee's headquarters or in its courtyards, noting that the elements charged with organizing the entry of students will also organize the departure process until all students leave the committee's vicinity.
Regarding securing examination work, the Minister stressed tightening security procedures for question distribution centers and during the process of transferring them to committees, to ensure that examinations are fully secured.
The Minister also directed to ensure the availability of concept books for all subjects within the examination committees, while reviewing the numbers available in each educational directorate, and quickly providing any additional needs before the start of the examinations.
The meeting also touched on following up on the summer treatment program for those with weak reading and writing skills, as the Minister stressed the need for careful follow-up of the students targeted by the program, stressing that it is no longer acceptable to have a student who cannot read and write, and that dealing with this file must be done with the utmost seriousness and firmness.
The Minister also directed that the Ministry be quickly provided with data on all schools that are ready for operation and have not yet entered service, with the aim of starting their operation next academic year, which would contribute to ending the evening period for primary school students.
The Minister also stressed the importance of early preparation for the next academic year, directing the directors of educational directorates to withdraw the textbooks that were printed for the next academic year from the Ministry's warehouses, to distribute them to educational departments, and the necessity of completing all early preparations for the new academic year.
