The General Authority of Meteorology announced its weather forecast for Tuesday, June 16, 2026, noting that hot and humid weather will continue in most parts of the Republic, with high humidity levels that increase the sense of actual temperatures by values ranging from one to two degrees Celsius.
The authority explained in a statement that the country will witness moderate and humid weather during the early morning hours, turning hot and humid during the day in the northern regions of the country up to Greater Cairo, while it will be very hot in the south of the country, moderate and humid at night and in the early hours of the morning in most parts, and tending to be hot in southern Upper Egypt.
Regarding weather phenomena, the Authority indicated that water mist forms during the period from four to eight in the morning in areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, and it may sometimes be dense on some roads.
Winds are also sometimes active at speeds ranging between 30 and 35 kilometers per hour in areas of Greater Cairo, South Sinai, the Red Sea Governorate, and northern Upper Egypt, and at intermittent intervals. The Authority warned of the possibility of stirring up sand and dust in areas of Halayeb and Shalateen as a result of winds coming from northern Sudan, which may lead to a decrease in the level of horizontal visibility in some areas.
She pointed out that there are weak chances of some low clouds forming on various areas of the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the canal cities, which may be accompanied by light and ineffective drizzle falling on some areas.
The authority added that the expected temperatures today, in Greater Cairo are 34 degrees maximum and 23 degrees minimum.
