The Poetry Diwan Hall at the Cairo International Book Fair hosted a distinguished poetry evening that brought together Egyptian, Arab, and international poetic voices, with a large audience of literature and poetry enthusiasts in attendance. The evening celebrated language and creativity, as a select group of poets delivered their works, ranging from classical Arabic poetry to modern and traditional styles.
The event featured a number of prominent poets, including Ahmed El-Mereikhi, Zain El-Abedeen Fouad, Hanan Shafie, Tarek Hashem, Fathy Abdel-Samie, and Mostafa El-Garhy from Egypt, alongside Emirati poet Saleha Ghayesh.
The international participation added a unique dimension to the evening. Poet Julio Babanetti from Uruguay presented his works, which were warmly received by the audience, while poet Kieu Bich from Vietnam shared poems reflecting the depth of Asian poetic traditions.
