Cairo Gov. inspects Shaq El-Thoaban development work

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Monday the ongoing development work at Shaq El-Thoaban industrial area, which includes increasing the efficiency of roads, improving infrastructure, and redesigning the area’s entrances and exits to ease the traffic flow.
 

During his tour, Abdel Aal said that the ongoing development comes in line with Egypt’s political leadership’s instructions, which pays great attention to developing the Shaq El-Thoaban area as part of the state’s vision to boost investment and create more job opportunities.

 

Abdel Aal also pointed out that the governorate is working on developing the marble and granite industrial area by connecting utilities and paving roads to increase production and investments to be part of the formal economy.

 

Moreover, Abdel Aal noted that the Cairo Utility Data Center surveyed all activities and land in the Shaq El-Thoaban area and registered them in the electronic survey unit, which is the first of its kind established in this industrial area.   

 

The Shaq El-Thoaban area is located east of Autostrad Road, extending to the Wadi Degla Natural Reserve in the Tora El-Maadi area and covers an area of 1608 acres. It ranks fourth in the world in production volume, quality, and return.       

 

Abdel Aal was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Jihan Abdel Moneim, Assistant Secretary-General Ibrahim Awad, Head of the Building Materials Chamber, Federation of Egyptian Industries Eng. Sayed Abaza, chairmen of the board of the Electricity Company and the Water and Waste Water Company, and several officials of Cairo governorate.
