Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, and Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy attended the opening of the 10th edition of the International Forum for the Arts of People with Special Needs, “Our Children,” and the Afro-Chinese Arts and Folklore Festival. The event was held at the Grand Theatre of the Egyptian Opera House under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The ceremony was also attended by Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women; Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil and Development Work; Dr. Amal Imam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent; Zeina Tawakkol, Executive Director of the “Qaderoon Bekhtelaf” Fund; Soheir Abdel Kader, President and Founder of the “Our Children” Forum; members of the Board of Trustees of the Our Children Foundation; and a number of ambassadors, artists, and public figures.
The International Forum for the Arts of People with Special Needs, “Our Children,” is being held from September 17 to 24, with delegations from 54 Arab and foreign countries participating.
This year’s edition celebrates the 10th anniversary of the “Our Children” Forum and features broad international participation, including screenings of films produced by university students from Egypt and other countries. It also includes a variety of artistic and cultural events highlighting the talents of people with special needs and supporting their participation in various artistic and creative fields. The 10th edition also coincides with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Egyptian-Chinese relations.
