Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber attended the activities of the “Bedaya… Eta’lam… Garab… Ebdaa” initiative, organized by the Hanan El-Donia Association at the Vocational Training Center in the El-Ameriya neighborhood. This initiative is a collaborative effort with the Egypt Public Library to train children aged 6–12 in handicrafts. It aims to support community initiatives that develop children’s skills, foster a culture of work and creativity, and introduce them to the value of handicrafts.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Omar Mahmoud El-Shafaei; Director of Cairo’s Sports and Youth Directorate Mahmoud Fawzi; Honorary President of the Hanan El-Donia Association Sheikh Mostafa El-Kandary; Managing Director of the association Dr Hala El-Kholi; and several officials from the Cairo Governorate.
Governor Sabre stated that the initiative aligns with the state’s vision of investing in people, developing the abilities of younger generations, and uncovering their talents early by providing opportunities to explore a variety of professions and crafts, as well as engage in practical activities that enhance their skills and foster innovation.
Saber added that the Cairo Governorate is committed to supporting initiatives that develop children’s personalities and instill values of work and productivity. This will contribute to preparing a generation capable of creativity and positive engagement in community development.
During the event, Saber toured the initiative’s activities and training workshops, where he received an overview of the programs offered to children. These programs aim to introduce children to different handicrafts and strengthen their practical and artistic abilities through hands-on practice and experimentation.
Additionally, he attended the training activities offered by the association to develop women’s skills. He further praised the efforts of the Hanan El-Donia Association in implementing initiatives that raise awareness about the importance of work and productivity among younger generations.
