The 33rd edition of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre continues on Monday with five main events: four theatre performances and one training workshop. These feature theatrical experiences from Russia, the UAE, Egypt, and Hungary, alongside a youth-focused training program.
The workshop, led by Egyptian artist and trainer Ahmed Kamal and titled “Beginning of Learning and Development", is designed for youth participants. It focuses on essential skills for actors at the start of their artistic journey—body awareness, neuropsychological control, concentration, self-connection, improvisation, and character building—laying both artistic and personal foundations for the trainees.
The Falaki Theatre is hosting the Russian play Poor Liza at 8:00 PM, while the Emirati play Depths of the Soul will be performed simultaneously at El-Samer Theatre.
At 10:00 PM, audiences at El-Ghad Theatre will enjoy the Egyptian Play “What Do the Survivors Dream?” Additionally, the Hanager Theatre will host the Hungarian play In Between.
The seventh day of the festival continues to showcase a wide range of Arab, international, and diverse theatrical performances
