Arab Theater Authority signs a cooperation agreement with the Scenographic Authority

The Arab Theatre Authority signed the new version of the cooperation agreement with the Scenographic Authority in Yinchuan, China. This agreement began in 2016 and was renewed in 2019. The third version reinforces the achievements made in the areas of training in theatre technology. The Arab Theatre Authority had sent trainees from various Arab countries to participate in the various Chinese-Arab training courses. The course reached its thirteenth edition this year.

The Arab Theatre Authority has organized several workshops within the framework of the Arab Theatre Festival, during which Chinese experts presented their expertise to Arab trainees. Through this agreement, the Arab Theatre Authority seeks to enhance and develop cultural, artistic and technical cooperation, and exchange publications and performances.

Mr. Yi Yuping, Chairman of the Yinchuan Scenography Authority, said on this occasion: "In Yinchuan (Phoenix City), we look back with pride on our cooperation with the Arab Theater Authority, as it has formed a bridge of trust between the culture of China and the Arab world, and we look forward to further aspects of cooperation and cultural exchange."

In turn, Ismail Abdullah, Secretary General of the Arab Theater Authority, stated: This version of the agreement between us as a home for Arab theater professionals and the Scenography Authority in Yinchuan comes to open horizons of cooperation between the sons of two ancient civilizations, drawing from deep spiritual and human experiences, two civilizations brought together by sea caravans and the Silk Road, those caravans that carried and exchanged arts and culture. Today, we are building new bridges, through which we send Arab theater professionals to learn and enrich theatrical knowledge We are bringing in experts in courses we organize for Arab theatre professionals, and the new phase will witness an expansion of projects that enhance theatrical sustainability on several levels.

The Director of Rehabilitation, Training and School Theater, Ghannam Ghannam, delivered a speech at the opening of the 13th Sino-Arab Session, during which he conveyed the greetings of the Secretary-General and presented to the Chairman of the Yinchuan Scenography Authority the Arab Theater Authority Shield 2026, the book of plays by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and the book The Memory Cabinet of the Damascus Theater Festival.
