Egyptian
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of
Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Jeddah, coming as
part of President El-Sisi’s fraternal visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Official
Spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency stated that upon the President’s
arrival at the Crown Prince’s residence in Jeddah, a commemorative photograph
was taken.
This was followed by
a closed-door bilateral session and a Ramadan Iftar banquet hosted by the Crown
Prince in honor of the President and his accompanying delegation.
The official
spokesperson for Egypt’s presidency, Ambassador Mohammad El-Shennawi, said that
President El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and
generous hospitality.
He requested his
greetings be conveyed to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Furthermore, the
President congratulated the Crown Prince on the occasion of Saudi Founding Day,
wishing the kingdom continued progress and prosperity—a gesture highly valued
by Prince Salman.
The Spokesperson
added that the President emphasized the significant development in relations
between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the importance of advancing
bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The Crown Prince
welcomed the President’s visit, affirming the central importance of the deeply
rooted relations between the two nations. He expressed his
aspiration to further enhance these ties to broader horizons to serve the
mutual interests of the two peoples.
The discussions touched upon several regional and international issues of common concern. Both sides
underscored the importance of avoiding escalation and tension in the region,
supporting peaceful solutions through dialogue, and strengthening Arab
solidarity to face current challenges.
They emphasized the
principles of respecting state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and
non-interference in internal affairs. Both parties agreed
to continue and strengthen political consultation and coordination to maintain
regional stability.
Prince Mohammed bin
Salman later accompanied the President to King Abdulaziz International Airport
in Jeddah for his departure.
