Egypt’s
Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli said that recent developments in the civil
aviation sector reflect strong international confidence in Egypt’s air
transport market and confirm the ability of EgyptAir to adopt the latest global
technologies.
He made the remarks
during a ceremony at Cairo International Airport marking the entry of the first
Airbus A350-900 into EgyptAir’s fleet.
The event was
attended by Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny, senior aviation officials,
and representatives of international aviation companies.
For his part,
Madbouli said that adding next-generation aircraft is part of a state plan to
modernize the fleet, expand air connectivity, and support tourism and
investment, in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and
Egypt Vision 2030.
The civil aviation
minister stated that the new aircraft strengthens operational capacity and
forms part of broader efforts to upgrade airport infrastructure and improve
passenger services, reinforcing Egypt’s role as a regional aviation hub.
