President
Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and First Lady Entissar El-Sisi extended their warmest
greetings to the Egyptian people and to Coptic Christians on the occasion of
Christmas.
In a social media
post, President El-Sisi stated that this occasion “embodies the values of love,
peace, and devotion under the banner of our cherished homeland, as we move
forward together toward a future worthy of the great people of Egypt.”
“I wish you all a
blessed year, and may Egypt always remain under Allah's care and protection,”
El-Sisi added.
First Lady Entissar
El-Sisi also conveyed her sincere congratulations to the Egyptian people and
Coptic Christians, wishing Egypt further goodness and peace.
“I extend my sincere
congratulations to the Egyptian people and to our Coptic brothers and sisters
on the occasion of Christmas,” the first lady wrote on social media.
“I wish that Allah
returns it to Egypt with greater goodness and peace, and that the values of
love and coexistence remain firmly rooted among the people of one nation.”
The president also
visited the Nativity of Christ Cathedral in the New Capital, where he met with
Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, and
extended Christmas greetings to the Egyptian people.
