Minister of State
for Military Production Mohammad Salah El-Din Mustafa and Minister of
Environment Yasmine Fouad discussed the executive status of several joint
cooperation topics between the two sides in the field of municipal solid waste
management.
The meeting took
place at the General Office of the Ministry of Military Production in the
government district of the New Administrative Capital.
Mustafa began the
meeting by welcoming Fouad and her accompanying delegation, congratulating her
on the renewed confidence in her assuming the Ministry of Environment
portfolio.
He pointed out that
this meeting comes in light of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi
and the continuous follow-up by the Prime Minister with the ministries
concerned with the solid waste management system.
He emphasized that
the projects being implemented within this system, especially those
contributing to the transition to clean energy, are all measures that help
preserve the environment and adapt to potential climate changes, alongside the
health benefits they bring to citizens and their economic advantages.
