On behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber attended the Armenian Orthodox Easter celebration led by Bishop Ashod Mnatsakanyan, the Armenian Orthodox Metropolitan of Egypt, at the Armenian Orthodox Church on Ramses Street.
During the celebration, Governor Saber offered his congratulations on Easter, praying that it would be a joyful holiday for all Egyptians and that peace, love, and tolerance would prevail in the country.
Governor Saber said Egypt splendidly reflects the spirit of love, coexistence, and solidarity among all Egyptians. He called it a model for religious tolerance. He emphasized that Egyptians form a cohesive fabric, partners in a unified structure, and that Egypt will always remain a country of security and safety due to the unity of its people in overcoming challenges to achieve development.
Moreover, Saber directed district chiefs to intensify cleaning campaigns and remove encroachments around churches ahead of the Easter celebrations. He also urged raising the efficiency of the streets surrounding the churches and ensuring that the streetlights are illuminated and functioning properly.
Saber further stressed the need to remove all dilapidated and abandoned vehicles from the streets and to absolutely prohibit any cars from parking in the vicinity of churches.
