President
Abdel Fattah El-Sisi launched the website and mobile application of Holy Quran
Radio during the Ministry of Endowments’ celebration of Laylat al-Qadr [the
night of decree] and the conclusion of the first season of the “State of
Recitation” competition. He called upon the world to work toward serious
negotiations that can bring an end to all regional conflicts.
In his speech at the
celebration, President El Sisi also launched “the State of Recitation
documentary series project.” He praised the State of Recitation, saying “It is
a project that truly embodies the pioneering spirit of the Egyptian character
and proves that Egypt has always been, and will remain, a land of creativity
and brilliance.”
He continued that
“the State of Recitation” initiative has succeeded in bringing the Egyptian
family together around a table of refined taste, reshaping our relationship
with our rich religious and cultural identity.
“We look forward to
seeing similar innovations in all fields,” President El-Sisi said, adding
“After the success of the ‘State of Recitation,’ we will see the birth of the
‘State of Science,’ the ‘State of Creativity and Invention,’ and the ‘State of
Eloquence.’”
Addressing the
ongoing challenges and the regional war, President El-Sisi said that Egypt
affirms to the whole world that peace is the essence of existence and the
aspiration of the wise.
“Egypt continues to
play its historic role in supporting just causes and expressing its solidarity
with every person suffering from the ravages of conflict. Our message stems
from our deep conviction that our shared of human destiny demands peaceful coexistence,
which would enable us to confront shared challenges and achieve peace for all,”
President El-Sisi said.
“I reiterate my call
to halt escalation and bloodshed, to condemn aggression against our brotherly
Arab nations, and to work toward serious negotiations that can bring an end to
all regional conflicts,” President El-Sisi continued.
The official
spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the celebration began with a
recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a documentary featuring
the Names of Allah in Islam, recited by contestants of the “State of
Recitation” program.
After the film, a
documentary on the “Greatest Transfiguration” at Saint Catherine was screened,
followed by a presentation of recorded Adhan (call to prayer) from various
capitals worldwide.
