In the presence of Tanzania's Ambassador to Cairo, Richard Mutayoba Makanzu, Ahmed Al-Mouslimani, Chairman of Egypt's National Media Authority, announced the launch of the first episodes of Egyptian television programs broadcast in the Swahili language.

The inaugural episode, presented by broadcaster Shafi' Mubtadi from the Swahili Service of the Authority's International Radio Sector, featured a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, highlighting multiple aspects of Egypt's rich civilizational heritage.

Al-Mouslimani stated that the Swahili radio service of Egyptian broadcasting was established in 1954, and that today's move from audio to visual broadcasting represents a new step forward, in parallel with the extensive efforts undertaken by the Egyptian state under President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to advance African-African dialogue.

For his part, the Tanzanian ambassador praised the distinctive program and the new television service, noting that these programs will be aired on Tanzanian television. He also commended the longstanding historical relations between Egypt and Tanzania, as well as President El-Sisi's role in supporting African-African relations and strengthening the continent's path toward security and development.

The ambassador welcomed prospects for joint cooperation between Egyptian Television and Tanzanian Television to further consolidate media and intellectual ties between the two countries.

At the conclusion of his visit to Maspero, the Tanzanian ambassador expressed admiration for the exceptional location of the Naguib Mahfouz Studio on the 27th floor, which offers a view of both the Nile and the Pyramids. On the occasion, the Chairman of the National Media Authority presented the Tanzanian guest with a collection of songs by the legendary singer Umm Kulthum.
