Cairo Gov., Solidarity Min. attend ‘Iftar Sa’em’ launching ceremony

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber and Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsi attended the launching ceremony of the Misr El Kheir Foundation, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, for the "Iftar Sa'em" campaign for the 15th consecutive year, which aims to reach the neediest families in all governorates of Egypt during the holy month of Ramadan.  

The ceremony was attended by Hala El-Said, Advisor to the President for Economic Development; Adel El-Naggar, Governor of Giza; Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan; Khaled Shoaeb, Governor of Matrouh; Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharqia; Mohammad Galal, Governor of Ismailia; Dr. Ali Gomaa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Misr El- Kheir Foundation; Dr. Mohammad Refai, CEO of the Misr El-Kheir Foundation; Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil Action; and several public figures.

During the ceremony, Governor Saber stated that the political leadership places significant emphasis on supporting families, improving their living standards, and expanding the foundation of social solidarity to reach the greatest possible number of the most vulnerable families in cooperation with all state agencies and civil society.

Saber also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts between all state institutions and civil society organizations to provide essential support to the most vulnerable families during the month of Ramadan and to alleviate their burdens. He added that the "Iftar Sa'em" campaign is an initiative that embodies the values of social solidarity and compassion characteristic of the Egyptian people, aiming to bring joy and happiness to families during the holy month.

Moreover, Saber said civil work is a national responsibility requiring everyone's cooperation, emphasizing the governorate's commitment to coordinating with civil society and other stakeholders as partners in development.

Saber further praised the role of the Misr El-Kheir Foundation as a distinguished model of social solidarity in Egypt, emphasizing the ongoing cooperation between Misr El-Kheir and the Cairo governorate to enhance the quality of life for citizens, particularly the most vulnerable families.
