Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber inspected the work underway on the New Amal City Development and Resettlement Project, formerly known as Ezbet Al-Haggana, in the Sharq Madinet Nasr district.

Governor Saber said the replanning and development of the new Amal City aims to create an integrated project for citizens, providing them with all necessary utilities and services to ensure a decent quality of life. This initiative is part of the state's plan to develop previously unplanned areas.

Saber added that the new Amal City would serve as a model for the development of informal settlements, in line with the development system and in partnership with the private sector, and it will be extended to the other districts of the governorate.

During the tour, the governor of Cairo convened with officials from the companies responsible for the project to assess the implementation rates and stages. He emphasized the importance of contractors adhering to the specified timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards, and he stressed the need to expedite the project's completion.
