Cairo Gov. witnesses inking of Mokattam Corniche contract
Minister of Public
Business Sector Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Civil Aviation Mohammad Abbas Helmy,
Minister of Manpower Hasan Shehata, and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal
witnessed Saturday the signing ceremony of a construction contract of Mokattam
Corniche development project with Foster and Partners Office, one of the world
most leading architecture firms, to redesign and construct the project
implemented in partnership with El-Nasr Housing and Development Company and
Saudi Scope Company.
The project will be on
an area of 2 million square meters in a distinctive and unique location overlooking
the Giza Pyramids, Salah El-Din Citadel, Fatimid Cairo, and the National Museum
of Egyptian Civilization with a cost of 23 billion Egyptian pounds.
Moreover, the
project consists of two parts. The first is the Mokattam Corniche and terraces
on 1.3 million square meters, and the second is an integrated services
residential compound on 750 thousand square meters in the El-Hadaba El-Wusta
area.
