Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal said
Wednesday that the new integrated car market, established by the state on the
Cairo- Ain Sokhna Road following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s instructions
is a quantum leap in the form of the integrated markets. He added that the
market was established with the highest global quality standards and will offer
all services that enable citizens to complete all procedures in just one day to
save time and money.
The governor’s remarks came during
the Cairo governorate’s executive council meeting in the presence of deputy
governors, the secretary-general, the assistant secretary-general, directorate
directors, district chiefs, and several officials of Cairo governorate.
During the meeting, the governor
asserted that the state makes a great effort to control commodity prices and
achieve balance, noting the availability of all commodities in local markets
and sufficient strategic commodities due to the state’s plans to mitigate the economic crisis impacts.
Moreover, the governor pointed
out that all state bodies constantly hold meetings to ensure the availability of
commodities for citizens, along with continuing to implement national
projects that improve the quality of citizen services, such as water,
electricity, and sanitation in villages.
The governor also stressed the
necessity to cooperate with the Chamber of Commerce and the Supply Directorate to establish
outlets selling food commodities at affordable prices to alleviate burdens on citizens
and to stabilize prices.
Furthermore, the governor directed relevant
authorities and district chiefs to take all necessary measures to prepare for
rainfall and to immediately handle weather fluctuations the country might
witness during the coming days.
At the meeting, the governor commended
the efforts of Cairo’s Water and Waste Water companies in removing accumulated
rainwater which helped ease traffic in the capital.
The governor urged district chiefs
and the Environmental Monitoring Department to follow up on the work of the two waste management and recycling services companies handling
the east and west areas to improve the cleaning services in the capital and upgrade
the citizen services.
The governor also stressed the importance of cooperating
with civil society associations and creating communication channels with such
associations to offer better services to citizens. He further praised the role
of NGOs in collaborating with executive bodies and the Social Solidarity Directorate
to implement development plans to improve the quality of citizens’ living
conditions.
Moreover, the governor emphasized the importance
of communicating with the House of Representatives and Senate members to solve
citizens’ problems.
