Egypt’s gov. disburses LE 10 million Financial aid for irregular workers
Egypt’s Minister of Manpower, Mohamed
Saafan announced, Monday issuing financial aids exceeding LE 10 million during
the past period for irregular workers.
He added that the financial aid was
disbursed on the occasions of Labor Day and Eid al-Fitr to nearly 10019
registered irregular workers.
Saafan added that 149 new irregular
workers were registered in the system.
The Manpower Minster also said that
Qalyubia Governorate has appointed 2,518 young men, including 18 with
disabilities [differently-abled].
Earlier in April General Supervisor
of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Eman Karim, said
that Egypt is keen on developing women skills, and providing opportunities to
them to assume leadership positions.
She said, in statements, that the
council is working to raise awareness of the rights of persons with
disabilities and the role of the council in providing all services to them.
She pointed out that one of the
important files that the council will work on is the preparation of a database
on people with disabilities in cooperation with the Mobilization and Statistics
Authority and the National Council for Women, explaining: "We will make
sure to include people with disabilities in all walks of life.
Dr. Eman Karim confirmed that the
Egyptian family development project is a very important project, that ensures
that the Egyptian family is the mainstay of society.
The project includes a mother with a
disability, a wife with a disability, a son and a daughter with a disability,
and this project will greatly benefit people with disabilities who are an
integral part of society.
The Egyptian law guarantees rights of
people with disabilities, by setting out penalties for endangering the, or
discriminating against them.
