Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inaugurated Tuesday the Ghernata Park in the Misr
Al-Gadidah area after it was renovated.
The renovation work included installing external fences and benches, tree
pruning, installing pergolas, upgrading lighting, and painting fences and
curbstones.
Abdel
Aal pointed out that the Cairo governorate seeks to increase green spaces
across the capital to provide green respite for citizens.
During
the inauguration, Abdel Aal met citizens who expressed their happiness with the recently renovated park.
Moreover, the governor
praised the effort of the Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority's workers
to develop and create green spaces serving residents of Cairo.
The ceremony was
attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, Chairman of Cairo Cleaning and
Beautification Authority Ihab El-Shershaby, Chief of Misr El-Gadidah district
Hasan Mohammad, and several officials of Cairo governorate and Cleaning Authority.
