Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected several polling stations in eastern Cairo to follow up on the voting process on the first day of the presidential election 2024, held for three days, and to ensure that the voters are casting their ballots smoothly.
Abdel Aal said that the capital has been on high alert since the first day of the presidential election, noting that Cairo’s Central Operations Room will be working 24 hours to communicate and coordinate with all central operation rooms of relevant authorities.
Moreover, Abdel Aal praised the citizens’ awareness of their constitutional rights, reflected in their high turnout and active participation on the first day of the election. He added that the citizens’ keenness to exercise their constitutional rights represents their determination to achieve democracy and progress in their country.
