Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Sunday Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority's work to remove the trash from Sour Magra El-Oyoun's surrounding area, which was done carefully not to cause any damage to the fence.
Abdel Aal pointed out that approximately 700000 m3 of trash were removed in 15 working days using the authority's latest equipment in coordination with the Ministry of Antiquities.
Abdel Aal further said that this comes within the framework of the Magra El-Oyoun Fence development project, which aims to preserve the authenticity and heritage of the area, stressing the necessity to intensify cleaning work in the area to befit its civilized appearance.
Moreover, the governor inspected the preparations of the Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority to remove trash and debris from El-Sayyeda Zeinab's streets and alleys.
The one-week work will also include upgrading street lights on the following streets: Magra El-Oyoun, Al-Qasr Al-Ainy, Port Said, El-Sad, Khairat, El-Sheikh Aly Yousef, and Bayram El-Tunisi.
