About

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal attended Saturday the press conference held at one of Cairo’s hotels to announce arrangements made ahead of the Second Conference of the Egyptian Health Tourism Application set to be held from 2-3 March 2024 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the New Administrative Capital.

The conference comes in line with the directives of the political leadership to make Egypt a primary destination on the global medical tourism map as well as realize the sustainable development goals in the era of the new republic.

Also in attendance were Presidential Advisor for Health Affairs and Conference Director Dr. Mohammad Awad Tag El-Din, Egypt's State Minister for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Soha El-Gendy, governors of El-Wadi El-Gadid and Aswan, several deputy governors of concerned cities, and officials of the ministries of health and tourism.

During the press conference, Abdel Aal emphasized that improving the tourism sector in Egypt and the flourishing of many promising fields, including health tourism in particular, are a strategic choice for boosting the national economy within the framework of the comprehensive construction of the new republic, which aims to improve all services in the Egyptian state.

Moreover, Abdel Aal asserted that putting Egypt on the global medical tourism map is an achievement of one of Egypt's Vision 2030 goals, given that Egypt has various natural sites related to medical tourism in addition to specialized medical personnel and diverse health potentials that provide competitive quality at the global level. Therefore, we all seek to establish a successful integrated system, in addition to targeted global marketing of our existing distinctive elements in this regard.
