Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala ElSaid discussed during a meeting Friday 8 / 9 / 2023 with Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa key projects of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) in the tourism sector.
At the onset of the meeting, the minister of planning and economic development welcomed the great contribution of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in support of the TSFE's projects in the tourism domain.
El Said highlighted the highly integrated plan the Fund laid down to best utilize the buildings, set to be emptied, especially in Down Town Cairo, after the government’s relocation to the New Administrative Capital, in line with an all-out vision to repurpose this state-owned property.
All drives came as per studies conducted with world leading consulting firms in this respect. The plan envisages the transformation of some state-owned assets to become hotels and tourist facilities.
