Minister of Education and Technical
Education Reda Hegazy met with UNESCO delegation, led by Director of the UNESCO
Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States Costanza Farina, and Director
General of Education Fadi Yarak.
The meeting tackled ways of
boosting bilateral cooperation between the ministry and UNESCO, according to a
statement issued by the ministry on Friday.
The meeting also discussed ways of
providing training to the teachers, especially that their role is crucial in
implementing the new education system, added the statement.
Hegazy, meanwhile, shed light on
his ministry's efforts to enhance education, affirming that the State adopted a
national project to develop education.
Farina, for her part, said that she
welcomed cooperation with the ministry in the Egyptian education development
plan.
UNESCO stands fully ready to
provide support to the ministry in the various programs, including honing the
skills of teachers through organizing several training courses, she added.
She further invited the education
minister to attend several international events.
