The inauguration ceremony was attended by Executive Director of the Urban Development Fund Eng. Khaled Sadek, Director of Youth and Sports Directorate Dr. Sayed Hazin, Chairman of Al-Masry Al-Qahiri Club Tayseer Matar, and several officials of Cairo governorate and Ministry of Sports.

The Masry Qahiri Club was established through cooperation with the Urban Development Fund and the Ministry of Youth and Sports and executed by the Central Agency for Reconstruction on an area of 6 acres. The club consists of a football field, an Olympic swimming pool, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, multi-purpose halls for other sports activities, and a social building.

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal emphasized the club represents a new addition to the sports facilities in the capital, which has witnessed a quantum leap during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which reflects the Egyptian state's vision of the importance of enhancing sports infrastructure for sports development in Egypt, in addition to providing the best services for the youth and families benefiting from these facilities.

Abdel Aal also noted that the development work in the club comes in line with the significant achievements witnessed by the Egyptian state nationwide, especially in the Cairo Governorate.

Moreover, Abdel Aal said the Masry Qahiri will support Egyptian champions in various sports and provide community services for its members and families.

Following the inauguration ceremony, Abdel Aal made a tour of the club, inspecting football fields, multi-purpose sports halls, swimming pools, and kids' and families’ areas.
