Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal assured Saturday that bus services are regularly operating across Cairo and that there is no increase in the public transport fares.
Abdel Aal also directed all relevant authorities in the Cairo governorate to intensify joint campaigns between Cairo Traffic and Transport Directorate and take all the necessary legal actions against any violations of the recent ride fares.
Moreover, Abdel Aal confirmed that citizens could file a complaint in case of any increase of the ride fares through the hotlines of the Cairo governorate 15496- 114 24 hours a day.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has increased gasoline prices on Friday morning, July 23rd, as part of the economic reform program adopted by the Egyptian government to increase government expenditure on citizen services.
