Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Nevin El-Qabbaj and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal distributed Tuesday 3,000 food boxes containing essential commodities and Ramadan supplies to the residents of the Asmarat district in cooperation with civil society organizations.
The governor pointed out that these initiatives come as part of the state’s efforts to alleviate the burden on citizens. They also reflect a successful partnership between the executive bodies and the civil society organizations.
Moreover, the governor asserted the state’s keenness to provide comprehensive care and integrated services to the residents of the Asmarat district and alternative housing projects established by the state.
The governor added that Egypt has presented a distinctive model and a unique experience to the world in establishing integrated new urban communities, noting that the Asmarat district was the starting point for many alternative housing projects for unsafe areas.
