Cairo Gov. witnesses Armenian Catholic Christmas celebration

On behalf of Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal witnessed the Armenian Catholic Patriarch Christmas celebration led by the Armenian Catholic Bishop of Alexandria, Krikor Augustine Kusa, at St. Teresa Church in Masr El-Gadidah area.
During the celebration, Abdel Aal extended his congratulations, wishing all Egyptians a merry Christmas.
Abdel Aal also praised the unity between Muslim and Christian Egyptians, hailing the spirit of love and friendship binding the Egyptian nation. He added that this unity sends a message to the world that Egypt is a country of safety and security.
Earlier, Abdel Aal directed district chiefs to intensify cleaning campaigns and remove occupancies from streets surrounding churches in preparations for the celebrations of Christmas and the new year.
The governor was accompanied by the Chief of Masr El-Gadidah district, Hossam Labib.
