Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inspected Sunday the Salam Factory for solid waste treatment run by the Egyptian Company for Solid Waste Recycling ECOM under the contract signed between Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority and the company.
During his tour, Shaarawi directed to improve the efficiency of waste treatment and recycling process at the factory to prevent the accumulation of daily collected garbage, stressing the need to safely manage the disposal of and transport untreatable residues to the el-Obour Sanitary Landfill.
