The Media Center of the Cabinet denied reports circulated on some social media pages claiming that a fine of 2,500 EGP is imposed on citizens who fail to undergo the Hepatitis C test as part of the “100 Million Health” campaign.
The Media Center contacted the Ministry of Health and Population, which completely denied these claims, confirming that there is absolutely no truth to imposing any fines on those who do not participate in the Hepatitis C testing under the “100 Million Health” campaign. The Ministry clarified that the campaign primarily aims to ensure the health of Egyptians free of charge and is not intended for profit.
It stressed that what is being circulated in this regard is nothing more than rumors with no basis in reality, intended to discredit the campaign and undermine the efforts being made within it.
Finally, the Ministry urged citizens not to be drawn into such misleading rumors or false information that may cause public confusion, and emphasized the importance of referring to the Ministry in case of any inquiries or complaints via the hotline (02 / 25354150).
