The Foreign Ministry's Permanent Committee for Following-Up on Egyptian-African Relations proposed to form a coalition comprising public and private pharmaceutical companies to boost exports to African countries and better leverage logistics centers on the continent.

In 2022, the Egyptian government began to expand the production and export of insulin to African countries, particularly after the country had managed to achieve self-sufficiency.

Similarly, there is already a plan to launch branches and storehouses by Egyptian pharmaceutical companies in Equatorial Guinea to both fulfill local needs and supply to neighboring states in Central Africa.

Further, Gambia proposed conducting studies to establish a pharmaceutical factory in Gambia, pledging to provide facilitations to Egyptian firms.
