Cairo Governor
Khaled Abdel Aal extended his greetings on Sunday to the citizens of Cairo on
the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing them a blessed month and
peace and prosperity for all Egyptians.
The governor’s
remarks came during the executive council meeting held in the presence of deputy
governors, secretary-general, assistant secretary-general, districts’ chiefs,
directorates’ directors, and several executives of Cairo governorate.
During the meeting,
the governor directed directorates’ directors and districts’ chiefs to intensify
inspection campaigns on public markets and shops ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The governor also
ordered tightening control over flour mills, bakeries, cylinder, wheat warehouses, venues selling
food commodities, and markets.
Moreover, Abdel Aal instructed to ensure the availability of commodities
and food products at affordable prices, especially meat, poultry, rice, and Ramadan
supplies.
Abdel Aal urged Cairo Water and Waste Water Company,
Cairo Electricity Company, and Health Directorate to be on high alert to deal
instantly with any emergency during Ramadan.
Furthermore, Abdel Aal directed to intensify cleaning
campaigns across the capital, especially streets surrounding mosques holding
Taraweeh prayers to remove waste and garbage promptly.
