Cairo Governorate participated
Saturday in the Challenge Day celebration held by the Resala Association for
more than 20000 people of determination at the National Park in the Nasr City
area.
During the celebration, Cairo
Governor Khaled Abdel Aal said that President El-Sisi always stresses that the
society that appreciates the achievements of persons with disabilities and works
on their empowerment and inclusion in all aspects of life is the one that will
achieve a comprehensive renaissance.
Abdel Aal added that the state pays
great attention to persons with disabilities as Egypt is one of the countries praised
for its social work, especially in qualifying and empowering persons with
disabilities, given its experience and experiments in this regard.
Moreover, Abdel Aal pointed out that
the state seeks to provide all training and rehabilitation services and equal
opportunities for persons with disabilities to enable them to participate effectively
in the community.
On Friday, December 2, Abdel Aal allowed free
entry for the capital’s disabled persons to 16 public parks, and celebrations
were held in several schools.
The Challenge day is an initiative launched by
the Resala Association that aims to shed light on the rights of disabled
persons and pave the way for their inclusion in society.
