About

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced that its 100 Healthy Days campaign has provided more than 86.6 million free medical services nationwide since its third edition launch on 15 July. On Friday alone, teams delivered over 510,000 services, stated Ministry Spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.

The campaign covers a broad range of care, including primary and curative services, preventive medicine, mental health, and specialized hospitals.

Abdel Ghaffar added that around 221,000 services were delivered through curative care, 62,600 through presidential public health initiatives, and nearly 9,800 services via the “Your Health is Happiness” mental health program.

Ambulance teams responded to over 4,200 emergencies, and hospitals under the Health Insurance Authority provided nearly 7,900 services.

Additionally, hospitals run by the Specialized Medical Centers Secretariat provided around 49,000 services, with an additional 9,700 services offered by Medical Care Foundation hospitals.

In tandem, outreach efforts reached over 47,000 people with health awareness sessions in public spaces, including squares, clubs, and shopping malls, across Egypt.

Mobile clinics, primary health units, and hospitals offered extended hours, bringing services to both urban centers and remote areas.

Earlier phases of the campaign reached millions: one phase delivered 146 million free services in three months, and another provided 58 million in 37 days.

The initiative builds on the 2018 “100 million Health” program, which focused on hepatitis C elimination, screening for non-communicable diseases, and reducing hospital waiting lists.

Officials say the campaign aims to expand access to healthcare, improve early detection of chronic and infectious diseases, and reach underserved communities across the country.
