Minister of Local Development Major General Mahmoud Shaarawi, Cairo Governor Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, and the Executive Director of the National Training Academy Dr. Rasha Ragheb signed Monday, July 26, a cooperation protocol in the presence of several officials from the Ministry of Local Development, the Cairo governorate and the National Training Academy.

The protocol aims at qualifying and training leaders and human cadres at the Cairo governorate to help improve the performance of the employees in several fields such as leadership, administration, technology, and public policy. 

For his part, Shaarawi pointed out that the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and the academy started in 2019 and resulted in signing the cooperation protocol between the two sides to improve the performance of the employees at the administrative apparatus and benefit from the training programs.  

Moreover, Shaarawi noted that the academy is cooperating with the Ministry to develop and restructure the Saqqara Local Development Training Centre to achieve the Ministry's vision in developing the human element at the administrative apparatus of the governorates.

For his part, Cairo Governor Major General Khaled Abdel Aal assured that the cooperation protocol comes as part of the directives of the political leadership to upgrade the state administrative apparatus in line with Egypt vision 2030.  He also pointed out that the National Training Academy offers training courses in contemporary approaches to human resources management, project management, cybersecurity, and effective strategic planning.

Abdel Aal added that the academy also participates and cooperates in the activities, conferences, initiatives organized by the governorate, such as cultural and tourism programs for the academy graduates and field training programs and lectures on the ongoing national projects and the challenges it faces.  

For her part, the Executive Director of the National Training Academy Dr. Rasha Ragheb thanked the Minister of Local Development and governors for their support to the third batch of the Presidential Leadership Program, which lasted two months in several governorates across Egypt.
